Hotel Charles now owned by Jeff Thomas, was rebuilt in the 1930's and is exactly how it stands today. Originally owned by Ollie Olsen and his wife, "Miz Olsen," who lived in the house attached to the bar, the establishment has been passed down to three subsequent owners. All owners have preserved its original architecture and atmosphere.

There have been many historic stories told about Hotel Charles and its past. Famous singer, musicians and down right legends have graced the hallowed passages and stage of the Legendary Hotel Charles. From Country music legends Patsy Cline, Roy Clark, Buck Owens and Jimmy Dean to the now more present acts of the mid-Atlantic region such as Half Nasty, Thrill, Vs. The Earth. The atmosphere is as "if the walls could talk and tell the stories of decades of music spirit, love gained and loves lost.

Hotel Charles offers two rooms of entertainment. The Front Room houses the bar and two pool tables, plus an area for the DJ and local talent (including Karaoke). The Band Room is where they host their weekend live entertainment of top notch performances.
